For some of us, a yoga towel is just as important as our mat. It helps create stability, promote traction and keeps us from slip-sliding around. And, through trial and error, we discovered that finding the best yoga towel that will help us improve our practice is a difficult task.
First and foremost, we wanted a towel that would simply stay put. We didn’t want to continue adjusting the towel when we should be focusing on our pose. There’s nothing more distracting than trying to work around the lumps and creases that a not-so-great yoga towel creates.
Our next request in finding the best yoga towel was one that would give us traction – whether it be by the material used or a grip that is incorporated into the towel.
Next, we wanted to find a yoga towel that is big enough to fit over our mat. Too many times we have purchased a yoga towel, only to find out they skimped on the width and the length.
Finally, our last request was a towel that is ultra-absorbent and quick drying. And this is especially necessary for those hot yoga sessions where we sweat buckets.
So, we set out on a mission to find the best yoga towel that has all of these characteristics. When all was said and done, we came back with 6 fabulous towels that not only met our expectations but exceeded them. And instead of being a hinderance or an extra item that we need but we don’t really want to lug around, we can’t wait to take our towel with us to yoga practice.

Overall, this towel works and it works very well. We had no issues with sliding around nor did we have issues with the towel bunching or creasing. The towel also has anchor fit corners which help further aid the towel to stay in place. However, because it comes in one size, the anchor fit corners will only work well with a 72 inche by 24 inch mat. Any smaller and you may have to deal with some creasing or bunching. But, the towel seemed to do quite well without the anchor fit corners attached, it’s just that you won’t have that extra security.

Overall, this is a great, basic option to soak up some sweat and create stability. The anchor point pockets are a major plus to help keep the towel in place. We found the color options to be a bit boring in comparison to some of our other picks, but if that’s our only complaint, we really don’t have much to complain about.
