Nuface Reviews: Everything You Need to Know

What was once reserved for the spa can now be done by you, just about anywhere – all thanks to Nuface.  The Nuface non-surgical, at-home, microcurent facelift has been a big hit for everyone, including beauty guru, Bobbi Brown.

As Bobbi puts it, “I’m actually completely obsessed with a new product that’s not mine called the NuFace. It’s unbelievable and it works.”

So, what exactly is a microcurrent facial and does Nuface hold the key to anti-aging for those of us who can’t spa-it everyday?

We put our detective skills to work to see if the Nuface hype was really all that.

After six weeks of testing the products and reviewing other user reactions, our Nuface reviews reached a final consensus.   Ultimately, it revealed what the fans have been saying all along.  “It will take years off your face.”

Nuface:  What is it?

You may know Nuface for their microcurrent device, the Nuface Trinity.  And perhaps that’s why you’re here.  But, Nuface also offers a whole range of products, from Nuface Trinity attachments to skincare.

We decided to go with the basic “getting started” products for our Nuface reviews:

  • Nuface Trinity
  • Nuface Mini
  • Nuface Trinity Wrinkle Reducer Attachment
  • Nuface Trinity Ele Attachment
  • Nuface Gel Primer

While we are intrigued by Nuface’s Collagen Booster and their collection of serums, we wanted to focus on the actual device.

However, before we go in-depth about each individual product tested, here is an overview:

Nuface:  Overview

Nuface Trinity

Nuface Trinity

The Nuface Trinity is a microcurrent device that claims “improved facial contour, skin tone, and wrinkle reduction.”

So, what is a microcurrent device?  A Microcurrent device pumps out low-level pulsating currents of electricity that take aim at your body’s cellular level.

Simply put, when applied to your face or neck, it energizes and rejuvenates muscle tissue.

The Nuface Trinity can also act as red light therapy device, as long as you have the right attachment.  You will find more information about the Trinity attachments in our Nuface Reviews below.

Nuface Mini

Nuface Mini

The Mini is a travel-friendly microcurrent device.

Nuface Trinity Wrinkle Reducer Attachment

Nuface Trinity Wrinkle Reducer Attachment

The Nuface Wrinkle Reducer is a red LED light therapy module that attaches to the Trinity Nuface.  It claims to “reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.”

What is red light therapy?  Red Light Therapy emits low-level, red wavelengths through the skin, increasing circulation and collagen.

Consequently, treatment can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, combat sun damage and aid in healing acne, eczema and other skin conditions.

Nuface Trinity Ele Attachment

Nuface Trinity Ele Attachment

The Ele is a microcurrent attachment for the Nuface Trinity.  This attachment allows you to massage hard-to-reach areas such as the mouth and eyes.

The Nuface Gel Primer helps transmission of microcurrents to the skin.

Nuface Reviews:  An In-Depth Look

Nuface Trinity Reviews

4.5 Stars

After weeks of testing and piecing together our Nuface reviews, we came to the conclusion that the Nuface Trinity is our favorite of all the products we tested.  Therefore, it receives a 4.5 out of five rating, with five being nothing short of a miracle.

The results we achieved were slight at first but, with continuous usage, it left a youthfulness that couldn’t be denied.  Most notably, our face appeared as if it had been going to the gym.  Toned, taut and fresh.

Could it be a coincidence that they call this “fitness for your face?”  We think not.

Features

Of course, the most important feature of the Nuface Trinity is it’s ability to firm, lift and reduce wrinkles via microcurrent technology.  Which, it does this by transmitting low-level pulsating currents of electricity to your cells.Nuface Trinity Reviews

The two steel nodules deliver 335 amps of microcurrent stimulation, which is just below the sonic level.  This means, as long as you follow instructions, you should feel no discomfort.

Because the Trinity offers 5 levels of intensity control, you can start out slow and work your way up to a more intense regimen as time goes on.

Finally, the Trinity Device delivers a 5 second treatment timer.  This timer will alert you when it’s time to move to another area.

Design

You will find this cordless, light-weight device easy to use.

Not only that, you will also find that it’s comfortable.  Most notably, the curvature of the handle which features a soft touch grip.

The device also come with a charging cradle for easy storage and a necessary charge when not in use.

Usage

The most widely treated area with the Nuface Trinity is the face.  More specifically, the jowl lines, frown lines, forehead creases and cheeks.

Another widely treated area is the neck and although we haven’t tested it out yet, the hands are another area that is worth considering.

When treating the delicate eye area, it is advised that you use the Trinity Ele Attachment.  You will find more details about this attachment further down in our Nuface Reviews.

Compatibility

The compatibility issue did it for us.  This device, unlike the Nuface Mini, is multi-functional and in turn, works with both the Wrinkle Reducer Attachment and the Ele Attachment.

Cons

There’s always some sort of downfall with a “too good to be true” product.  And, in this case, the “no pain, no gain” philosophy is it’s active counterpart.

Now, don’t get us wrong.  This treatment is not painful in the physical sense.  It’s painful because it takes work and upkeep.  Although it takes no more than 5 minutes a day, it’s just one more thing to add to our already maxed-out daily regimen.

In order to see significant results, you need to be doing treatments daily for about six to eight weeks.  After a couple of months, if you’re happy with how your skin and muscle tone has improved, you can then graduate to upkeep mode.  That means, two to three times a week.

Overall though, it’s a small price to pay for a better reflection.

Nuface Mini Reviews

3 Stars

Don’t mistake a measly 3 out of 5 star review for a product that is anything less than quality.  And, just to make things clear, we think the Nuface microcurrent devices are amazing and the results speak for themselves.

However, we just wanted more from the Nuface Mini.  More functionality and more options.  Hence, the Nuface Mini is not compatible with the Wrinkle Reducer Attachment and the Ele Attachment, which would allow for a more thorough treatment for problem areas.

Also, the price didn’t justify getting the Mini just for a smaller device or to just give it a test run.

If, however, you’re looking for just a microcurrent device and have no interest in the other attachments, we say go for it.

Features

Just like the Nuface Trinity, the most important feature of the Nuface Mini is it’s ability to firm, lift and reduce wrinkles via microcurrent technology.  Which, it does this by transmitting low-level pulsating currents of electricity to your cells.

Nuface ReviewsThe two steel nodules deliver 335 amps of microcurrent stimulation, which is just below the sonic level.  This means, as long as you follow instructions, you should feel no discomfort.

While the Nuface Trinity offers 5 levels of intensity control, the Nuface Mini offers 3 levels of intensity control.  Which is still enough wiggle room to start out slow and work your way up to a more intense regimen as time goes on.  Just not as intense.

Finally, the Mini delivers a 5 second treatment timer.  This timer will alert you when it’s time to move to another area.

Design

The Nuface Mini is a cordless, light-weight, compact microcurrent device that’s easy to use.

It’s simple design and soft touch grip allow for a comfortable treatment session, while the compact size will make it compatible for travel.

The Mini device also comes with a charging cradle for easy storage and a necessary charge when not in use.

Usage

The most widely treated area with the Nuface Mini is the face.  More specifically, the jowl lines, frown lines, forehead creases and cheeks.

Another widely treated area is the neck and the hands are also another area to consider.

Because the Mini doesn’t allow attachments, it is advised you refrain from the eye area.

Cons

As we have already stated in our Nuface Reviews, the biggest downfall of the Nuface Mini is it’s compatibility issue.  If we were able to use the different attachments Nuface has to offer, we would have given it a better rating.

Furthermore, we’re not all that sold on the 3 level intensity control.  We have to ask ourselves:  Is it going to be enough intensity in the long run?  And the answer to that will differ from one individual to the next.

Through research and compiling our Nuface Reviews, we have found about half of users like having more intensity while the other half didn’t need any additional intensity.

Nuface Trinity Wrinkle Reducer Attachment Reviews

4 Stars

Tightened skin and pore refinement was the biggest payoff we saw with the Wrinkle Reducer Attachment.  And, the second biggest payoff was the improvement in our skin tone.

Also, pairing the Nuface Trinity with the Wrinkle Reducer was necessary for increasing our overall results.  And for those generous outcomes, we rated this attachment a 4 on a scale of 5.

Features

The most notable feature of the Trinity Wrinkle Reducer is it’s ability to perform red LED light therapy.  Red light therapy has a multitude of benefits.  Some of those benefits include wrinkle reduction, scar reduction, sun damage reversal, pore refinement, reduced inflammation and collagen development.

In order to accomplish all of this, the Trinity Wrinkle Reducer delivers a combination of red, amber and infrared lights that permeate different levels of the dermis.

Another feature of the Trinity Wrinkle Reduction Attachment is the 3 level intensity control.  This feature will allow your skin to transition toward more intense, and subsequently, more rewarding treatments over time.

And finally, the attachment comes with a 5 second treatment timer.  This timer will alert you when it’s time to move on to another area.

Compatibility

Only works with the Nuface Trinity Device.

Usage

The Trinity Wrinkle Reducer can be used all over the face.  While it is safe to use under the eyes and for crow’s feet, it is recommended that you stay away from your eye lids.

Cons

While we were impressed with the results, the red light is very bright.  And, the subsequent lack of eye protection garnered the Trinity Wrinkle Reducer Attachment a lower rating than we would have given otherwise.

Another downfall was that it’s so time consuming.  The recommended time of treatment is 20 minutes, which is four times the amount for the microcurrent attachment.

Nuface Trinity Ele Attachment Reviews

4.5 Stars

We give the Trinity Ele Attachment a whopping 4.5 for giving us the ability to reach the areas the Nuface Trinity nodules can’t.  More specifically, the eyes and around the mouth.

Not only that, this attachment is made for precision.  If you wanted to target just a scar, per se, the Ele is just the tool for that.

Features

The premier feature of the Trinity Ele Attachment is it’s ability to firm, lift and reduce wrinkles by targeting hard to reach areas with microcurrent technology.  Consequently, it does all of this by transmitting low-level pulsating currents of electricity to your cells.

Nuface Trinity Ele Attachment ReviewThe two steel rods deliver 335 amps of microcurrent stimulation, which is just below the sonic level.  This means, as long as you follow instructions, you should feel no discomfort.

Because the Trinity Ele offers 5 levels of intensity control, you can start out slow and work your way up to a more intense regimen as time goes on.

Finally, the Trinity Ele Attachment delivers a 5 second treatment timer.  This timer will alert you when it’s time to move to another area.

Compatibility

Only works with the Nuface Trinity Device.

Usage

The most common target of the Trinity Ele are the eyes.  Most notably, droopy eye lids, crow’s feet and under-eye baggage.

Another favorite target for this attachment is the lip area, especially smile and frown lines.

Cons

We couldn’t conjure up one bad thing to say about this attachment.  It worked great and overall, the Trinity Ele Attachment is one solid addition.

Nuface Gel Primer Reviews

4 Stars

Nuface claims that the Gel Primer is essential to using any Nuface microcurrent device.  However, we’re not quite sold on that claim.

While we found the gel to be pretty amazing, some users have found it to be drying, not to mention, expensive.

Features

This electrolyte gel is used for microcurrent conductivity and allows your device to easily glide across the skin for optimum results.

The Nuface Gel Primer is chloride free, paraben free, dye free, salt free, and fragrance free.

Furthermore, it is lightweight and we found it easy to remove.

Compatibility

To be used with the Nuface  Trinity or the Nuface Mini.

Usage

The Nuface Gel Primer is formulate to use anywhere you’re delivering your microcurrent facial.

For instance, it’s perfectly safe to use around the eyes, mouth, neck, hands and so on.

ConsNuface Gel Primer Reviews

Some users have complained that the gel can be drying.  It has also been reported that the gel is hard to remove, contrary to what Nuface claims.

While we didn’t run into these issues, we want to make sure that you’re aware of these possible side-effects.

Also, we found the gel to be quite expensive, especially for such a small bottle.   Furthermore, when you’re treating your face everyday, it goes fast.

Many users have made the switch to conductivity gel or aloe vera, with comparable effects.  It also lasts longer at a much cheaper price.

If you would like to check out some good options for aloe vera gel, you can find them here.

Nuface Reviews:  Conclusion

After seeing the results firsthand, we are sold on the Nuface line of microcurrent and red light therapy products.

When we set out to test the Nuface products and create Nuface Reviews, we had no idea we would be adding these products to our beauty regimen.  All in all, it has been worth the extra time to condition our face to look our very best.  And, we are absolutely loving the results.

We hope you enjoyed our Nuface Reviews and wish you the same satisfaction!
